Regional info-days and meetings: A series of regional info-days and meetings will be organised at the early stages of the project, with a view to catch the regional insights and build initial consensus regarding the regional biogas SI platforms and energy communities. These events will also serve as powerful communication tools that will spread the word for the benefits that can be derived from applying the Social Innovation and Community Energy concepts to the regional biogas supply chains. Furthermore, through these events, we will identify the ISABEL “SI Animators” (individuals with high interest in community biogas) who will then lead the way for the co-creation of the regional biogas “Biogas SI Platforms and Communities”.
ISABEL on-line portal, crowdsourcing tools and mobile apps: The ISABEL web-portal will encompass and make available to the general public, all publishable project outcomes, including promotional material, documents and deliverables and of course provide links to all other ISABEL on line tools and social media pages. It will also virtually host the operations of the 3 regional Biogas SI Platforms and their Communities (in their national language) by acting as a focal point of each respective Platform’s activities. Besides sharing information on region and sector specific issues (e.g. relevant legislation, similar initiatives at regional, national and European level, useful reports, etc.) the regional Platforms and their Communities will also offer crowdsourcing tools. Crowdsourcing tools will be incorporated both in the ISABEL web-portal and in the regional biogas SI collaboration tools (in the local languages in order to facilitate participation), providing the means for the general public to submit ideas. Finally, mobile apps (Android and iOS) will be the interfaces through which all interested parties will be able to communicate their ideas to the project.
Regional co-creation workshops and social hack-days: In the ISABEL co-creation workshops and Social hack days will be organised aiming to identify and support the bottom up development of interventions in the 3 ISABEL regions. There we will invite representatives of our key stakeholder groups, introduce them to our ideas and findings, discuss all barriers and potential solutions, investigate new ideas and co-create with them our project outcomes and facilitate the establishment and operation of the regional biogas SI platforms.
