During the 3 years ISABEL project was active, through its actions produced valuable information, resources and tools. Despite the end of the project the on-line portal, social media accounts, apps and tools will be kept active for at least 5 years after the project’s completion while their further continuation will be thoroughly sought and intended.

Over the last three years the UK team have also developed international contacts linked to community biogas outside the EC in addition to our European contacts – particularly in the USA and Canada to explore novel ideas that could be applied to communities in the UK.

During the first months of 2018 ISABEL partners organised 4 international workshops aiming to transfer ISABEL’s concept and findings to other regions in Europe. The Lake Constance Foundation will present the international results of the three year ISABEL project at the 11th «bioenergie» trade fair and congress that will take place from 29th – 31st March 2019 at the Exhibition Center Offenburg. The Horizon 2020 ISABEL project continues to reach its goal of expanding the European biogas landscape by a bottom-up process of empowering local communities.

On 12 June 2018, ISABEL attended the final conference of the ISAAC project. The event took place at the headquarters of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) in Rome, and brought together a highly-diversified audience, ranging from industry stakeholders to public administrations, research institutes, students and civil society organisations.
