Community Power: The Community Power (communitypower.eu) project aims to speed up the development of renewable energy projects by creating a favourable legislative environment, build a broad, public coalition across Europe supportive of community renewable projects, inform and engage citizens and create opportunities for public-private finance of community renewables projects in Eastern European countries.
REScoop.eu: REScoop 20-20-20 (rescoop.eu) was an initiative launched by the Federation of groups and cooperatives of citizens for renewable energy in Europe with the support of the Intelligent Energy Europe Program. Twelve organisations in seven countries have joined forces to increase the number of successful citizen-led renewable energy projects across Europe.
100% RES Communities: The 100% RES Communities action (100-res-communities.eu) aims at experimenting and spreading the model of joint SEAPs development and implementation in rural territories and towns in 10 European countries.
CrowdFundRES: CrowdFundRES (crowdfundres.eu) recognises the vast potential of crowdfunding for financing renewable energy projects and brings together the three following target groups: 1) Renewable energy project developers 2) The part of the public that has an interest in investing in renewable energy projects 3) Crowdfunding platforms . The project’s objective is to unleash the potential of crowdfunding for financing renewable energy projects in Europe.
Citizenenergy: Citizenenergy (citizenergy.eu) is an Intelligent Energy Europe project aiming to create a European crowdfunding platform for renewable energy that will respond to the variety of needs of both renewable energy source (RES) promoters and potential citizen investors. The crowdfunding platform hosts offerings from sustainable energy platforms from across Europe. Interested visitors of the platform, once they have identified a project that interests them, can choose to support it through a variety of crowdsourcing particiaption models.
Nobel Grid: Nobel Grid (nobelgrid.eu) is a Horizon 2020 project that aims to develop, deploy and evaluate advanced tools and ICT services to all actors in the Smart Grid and retail electricity market (e.g. distribution grid operators, production cooperatives, medium-sized retailers in order to ensure benefits from cheaper prices, more secure and stable grids and clean electricity. The objective is to enable active consumers involvement (demand response schemes) and market flexibility or new business models for aggregators and energy service companies.
TESS: TESS (Towards European Societal Sustainability) is a European research project which aims to illustrate the role of community based initiatives in creating a sustainable, low-carbon Europe. It is supporting policy makers by contributing to a better understanding of how initiatives can become more successful (www.tess-transition.eu).
ICT-BIOCHAIN:ICT-BIOCHAIN main objective is to identify opportunities for ICT to increase the efficiency of biomass supply chains for the bio-based industry. This way, the project can play a key role in making Europe’s bio based supply chains more efficient and contributing to several key BIC SIRA strategic objectives for 2020 and 2030 (www.ictbiochain.eu).
